About Len
Len Siegal served as President and CEO of Siegal Steel Company, a steel service center and distributor focused on selling to original equipment manufacturers. The company began as a family business in 1940. Len developed a unique selling model for levelling out the highs and lows of a cyclical industry remaining profitable in both up and down industry years. Industries served include automotive, lawn and garden, agricultural equipment, window hardware and miscellaneous metal stamping. Len recently successfully completed the sale of the company to a strategic buyer.
Len’s background as President of the company includes knowledge of finance, operations, human resources, and sales. His broad knowledge base has served him well as a facilitator in diverse business settings.
During his tenure at Siegal Steel, Len joined Young Presidents Organization, an international organization dedicated to educating company presidents. He served as chairman of Windy City YPO, forum chair of the World President Organization and served on the board of both organizations.
During his time in YPO, Len conducted training of forum groups introducing protocols to be followed in meetings for interpersonal exercises. He has also worked with UIC family business council on orientations and retreats. He has extensive facilitating and moderator experience in these areas. His background extends to strategic planning and coaching.
He enjoys working with company presidents, next generation executives, and young adult groups.
He is married and has two adult children.
