STRATEGIC PLANNING: HOW DOES IT WORK?
Every company needs a plan. A strategic plan creates direction for your team and gets buy in from critical players in your business. Taking the time to create a Strategic Plan is necessary in today’s competitive environment
What does Siegal Strategies do? We meet with a senior member of your company to review company performance and previous initiatives. We seek your data and measurements of your performance. We strive for a complete understanding of your company’s place in the market and all pertinent data for our meeting. The more transparent you can be the better for your team. We will strive to share all information for the actual Strategic Planning meeting. We decide how we define success for the Strategic Planning meeting. The meeting time can be over one to two days depending on our objectives.
This will be an opportunity to examine your company’s Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. With your senior management team, we work together to set up important goals for the future. We define specific actions to achieve those goals and timelines for each person to accomplish them. Follow up meetings quarterly should also conducted to monitor progress so that our hard work is not forgotten. We will furnish planning materials booklet, facilitate the meeting, and present a follow up report for all participants.
CONFLICT RESOLUTION AMONG TEAM MEMBERS
Every company has valuable employees that sometimes have issues that interrupt the success of the group. Are you working around a key member due to their views or behavior? Do you just put up with the behavior rather than try and change it? Siegal Strategies will work with the senior team to better understand the dynamics of the issue and then work with the individual. In addition, we make sure that everyone understands the desired outcome. Conflict resolution is most useful after a Strategic Planning meeting.
FACILITATION AND MODERATING
Len Siegal has facilitated family business groups and many professional business groups among others. He has a great track record of bringing people together in a variety of settings. He helps setting up protocols for the group, helping individuals in their listening techniques as well. Len has worked with YPO forum groups at local meetings and annual retreats. He has set up interpersonal exercises for various groups to help them grow by sharing experiences. A facilitator/moderator is most often useful when key principals wish to participate in a discussion without dominating the topic. This allows for open dialogue and participation. Using a facilitator (outside resource) can be the key to opening up discussion.
