I’ve had the benefit of working with Len Siegal as a moderator in a variety of settings.

My initial experience with Len’s moderating skills was in his work with our Young Presidents Organization executive leadership forums. Len did an excellent job creating a collaborative environment that encouraged honest assessment for a wide range of unique and sometimes complicated business and day-to-day challenges.

Given my direct experience with Len’s skill at cultivating a comfortable and transparent process, I invited him to facilitate the first strategic planning effort for Maurice Sporting Goods, a 95-year old formerly family owned and operated business that had recently emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy. With the firm’s long history, recent turmoil, and drastic revision of the firm’s business plan since its acquisition earlier this year by my partners and I, its first strategic planning effort was expected to be challenging.

Len was able to filter out the noise and focus the group on easily identifiable goals and takeaways. Despite the challenging and emotional conversations that occurred during the meeting, Len was able to point out the opportunities for progress.

Len has been extremely organized and diligent before, during, and after the meeting.
